We are a social enterprise and support several causes through our activities:

Undershaw School – Hindhead, UK

Undershaw is a school for children with special educational needs based in the former home of the creator of Sherlock Holmes, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. The building, where Sir Arthur wrote many of the stories has been restored back to its former glory and has a state of the art new facility on the site too. We have now raised over £100,000 for the school in the last decade.

Happy Life Mission – Nairobi, Kenya

Happy Life has saved the lives of over 1000 abandoned babies in the last two decades. The project has expanded to include a school and paediatric hospital. Steve and his wife Sharon have spent nine Christmases out at Happy Life volunteering and running projects with the kids over the last decade. Our latest program is to raised £5750 for the Happy Life Education Fund.

The World Food Programme

There are 821 million undernourished people in the world today. That means one in nine people do not get enough food to lead an active and healthy life. In fact, hunger and malnutrition are the number one risk to health worldwide — greater than AIDS, malaria and tuberculosis combined. The good news is that hunger is entirely solvable. And it costs just US$0.50 to feed one child for a day. Steve Emecz is a World Food Programme mentor and participates in the Innovation Accelerators in Munich, Germany - and was part of the team that won the Nobel Peace Prize in 2020. Our latest program is to donate a meal to ShareTheMeal for every book bought on our website.

The American Cancer Society

This is the leading venue for cancer research in the U.S. and will receive its proceeds from all USA and GLOBAL editions of The Art of Sherlock Holmes.
